Judicial Committee Drive-By

Since the confirmation of Elena Kagan to the US Supreme Court is virtually guaranteed (a near certainty, all sides agree), this week's thrashing of Thurgood Marshall's good name by Republicans on the Senate Judicial Judiciary Committee really served no purpose other than to give whack-job, teabagger conservatives a new alternative history and something else to be irrationally pissed about.
