A Side of Pessimism

In many ways, the real problem with enacting economic or political change in today’s society is that most Americans have their noses so firmly affixed to the grindstone that they don’t have the time or the inclination to look around at how the system is keeping them down. Crippling debt, $50 tanks of gas, $3000 deductibles and $100 co-pays can tend to weigh on the mind and occupy a good deal of one’s spare time.

When it comes to issues like health care reform, wage and wealth inequality, job security, product safety, outsourcing, retirement planning and a debt-based economy, I’m afraid things are going to have to get much worse before they get better.

That's just the way it is with revolutions.
