Iraqi Parliament Begins Vacation

As promised, the Iraqi parliament has adjourned for a month-long August recess. Legislators failed to pass several key measures aimed at improving security and will not reconvene in Baghdad until September 4.




I hope Maliki and his colleagues have fun waterskiing in Monaco or whatever it is they plan on doing.
