When an elected member of the House of Representatives goes on national television and professes that he "does not believe in evolution," that he "came from God not from a monkey," whether he truly believes it or is locked into lying through fealty to his party's fundamentalist base, I believe he has exposed himself as unfit for office. How is it we take people like this seriously in 21st century America?
