Finally. A conservative Republican has gone on the record in support of the Muslim community's right to build the Burlington Coat Factory Mosque in Lower Manhattan. That conservative Republican? Senator Orrin Hatch of Utah, whose tolerance was forged in the bigotry directed against his own Mormon faith.

"So, if the Muslims own that property, that private property, and they want to build a mosque there, they should have the right to do so."

Bravo, Mr. Hatch. Bravo.
