Identity Crisis

When I was a kid growing up in "Cambodia," we always called the town next door "Roxnard." The punk rockers there created a well-respected and still recognized brand of rock-and-roll called "Nardcore." And now the city fathers in Oxnard are looking to put a gloss on the name given by founders and sugar beet tycoons Henry and James Oxnard.
