Cognitive Dissonance

So a bunch of gun-toting wingnuts held a "Second Amendment" rally in a national park just outside Washington DC yesterday. It was the 15th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing. Nice, huh? Here's a taste of the rhetoric:
Whenever the legislators endeavor to take away the property of the people, or to reduce them to slavery under arbitrary powers, they put themselves into a state of war with the people. {pause for dramatic effect.} We are done backing up. Now this is a quintessentially Southern thing, this "Oh hell no." When you hear it, where I come from, you know that somebody's gonna get beat, stabbed or shot. And the guy that takes the beatin', the knife blade or the bullet, undoubtedly deserves it. Oh hell no. For you can push Americans only so far.
I believe this is an appropriate point to note that this rally was held in a public park, on public property, and the only reason these lunatics were legally allowed to carry around their weapons was because of an executive order signed by President Obama permitting firearms in national parks. Yeah, they have every reason to be pissed.

UPDATE: Completing the circle. The wingnut anti-tax, anti-government tool who offered the quote above (which can be seen at the link up top), supplements his meager existence with...wait for it...a $1300 a month government disability check.
