It's about time somebody who was right about the war in Iraq was rewarded with a leadership post in the Obama government. Maybe now that he'll be head of the VA, Shinseki's the man to fix Walter Reed. And let me just add, again, Paul Wolfowitz is a total DBag.

I am SO glad you said it- someone had to! As I was sitting around waiting for my plane to take off to go over to the desert, I watched these hearings and heard in HORROR how they were going to reduce the troops sent- How on earth did Congress think they knew more than Generals that spend their whole CAREER studying the art of war at the War College and otehr places???? And now the liberals have the AUDACITY to say that BUSH screwed us by not sending enough troops! It was CONGRESS that did it and they were WARNED by Shinseki! "Oh great," i thought to myself..."what am I getting into here?" At least for Desert Storm they had the sense to listen to Schwarzkopf!
ReplyDeleteCorrect me if I'm wrong, but don't the President and his advisers set the troop levels and specific strategies employed in war? I thought Congress' task was to authorize and fund military action, but it's the Prez who calls the shots, no?
