Campaign 2008

If I had to rank my favorites for the Demcoratic presidential nomination as of this date, I'd have to go with Edwards, then Hillary, then Obama. Kucinich is a sentimental favorite for me (because we share many similar leftist policy positions and he's as out there and unelectable as I would be). I like Dodd because I think he's dignified and professional (and he smacked O'Reilly around hard last week). Richardson, who has probably the best "resume" of the whole lot of them, is just too bland to be considered presidential. Gravel is a grumpy old man.

I could accept any of the top three and, I think, compared to the Republicans and their roster of looneys, the Dems have a plethora of valid candidates. Even the second-tier campaigners are legitimate enough that they help move the debate beyond mere platitudes.
