One of the foreign policy "experts" being trotted out this week to opine on the Syrian situation is Paul Wolfowitz, the man who famously claimed in the lead-up to the Iraq War that a post-Saddam Iraq could "finance its own reconstruction" (among dozens of other ridiculously off-the-mark predictions).
Only adding to his reputation as one of our nation's finest diplomats, Wolfowitz once visited a mosque in the Middle East and, upon removing his shoes, as is customary in Islamic culture, revealed holes in the toes of both his socks:
