Before you start celebrating the return of the Twinkie, you should probably take note of the fact that the beloved snack food's resurgence was made possible in large part because Hostess was permitted to jettison its unionized workforce.
So once again, corporate profits take precedence over the economic well-being of the working-class. Wages will be pushed down, pensions and benefits will be made less-generous (or eliminated altogether), worker bargaining rights will become a thing of the past, while stock-prices, shareholder dividends and executive pay will all soar to levels heretofore unseen.
It's the American way.
