Thank You, Mr. Insurance Commissioner

Here in California, the state insurance commissioner, a seat currently occupied by Democrat Dave Jones, has the power to require health insurance companies to lower premiums if he finds they aren't putting enough of their revenues back into providing actual health care benefits for their customers. To that end, I received notification yesterday that my premiums are going down 4.9% starting June 1st. That hardly offsets the 30% increases I've been hit with over the past couple of years, but it's a start.
