Funny reading this story about a 13-year-old who's been forbidden to read Game of Thrones at school. By my calculations that kid would be in the 8th grade. I remember back when I was in 6th grade -- 11 years old! -- the big thing was reading The Exorcist. All the girls were reading Go Ask Alice. When I was in 7th grade I read The Godfather. Nowadays I'm just an old guy who doesn't even know what Game of Thrones is about, but I'm guessing it's no Lady Chatterley's Lover or Catcher in the Rye.
School administrators sure are uptight these days. Mostly because a lot pf parents are whacked, I'm sure.
