What's in Your Wallet? Bullied Bus Monitor Nets $440,000; Crippled Little Boy Needs Only $15,000

So, there’s this.

I took a gander at the video of those 13-year-old douchebags harassing that poor little old lady. It was appalling. You can see it here.

So sure, I feel this woman’s emotional pain and empathize with the terrible position she found herself in, but $440,000 in pledge money?

Here’s where we could all do some real good, and this kid needs only 15-grand.
Lucas has Friedreich’s ataxia, a disease that causes progressive damage to the nervous system. It can affect speech or the ability to walk, and can lead to heart disease and diabetes. It is expected to get worse. Lucas has gone from fully functioning to using a walker and sometimes a wheelchair.
Mongo’s Saloon and Linda McClure of American Property Services, both in Grover Beach, are sponsoring a fundraiser on Sunday to help the family buy a service dog for Lucas. The price for a trained service dog runs from $12,000 to $15,000. More funds are needed for training for Lucas and the dog.
To donate money or raffle prizes, or for more information, contact Linda McClure at 489-1236 or 748-7673.
