California's university system was once the envy of the entire world. The way things are going it's going to be the envy of working and middle-class college student residing right here in the Golden State (because they're getting priced right out of the market). I'm old enough to remember when with a little hard work and dedication, you could pay your own way through a UC school without any help from anybody.
