In 2003, five million people (conservatively) took to the streets in protests around the country -- and the world -- but they could not stop the Iraq War. In 2011, 50,000 teabaggers (generously) protested by the dozens in municipal parks in several cities across the nation and nearly succeeded in shutting down the United States government.
Unless and until this disparity in political power is rectified (I'm looking at you "mainstream media") our country is doomed to failure.
