You Can Take a Boy Out of the Country, but You Can't Take the Country Out of the Boy

The indictment filed today against John Edwards addresses him by his full, given and legal name:

"Johnny Reid Edwards."

Yep, Johnny. It's definitely only south of the Mason-Dixon line that you hear tell of people christened "Johnny" who take John as a nickname.

And in case you were wondering, it was...{wait for it}...a 96-year-old female Edwards fan, who only wanted to pay for his $400 haircuts with her own money -- so that the press would quit dogging him about it -- that blew the lid off the whole sordid affair that was Edwards' secret, miserable life.
