As if all the other crazy nonsense going on in this completely effed-up nation weren't enough, including capitulation by the President and his party to Republican demands for cuts in benefits to women, infants and children -- women, infants and children!!! -- now comes word that the "kinetic military action" in Libya is costing us, you and me, taxpayers, $100-million per day.
Think about that the next time -- THE VERY NEXT TIME -- some teabagger tells you the country is flat broke and we need to raise the retirement age to 70 years old or we don't have the funds necessary to pay middle-class workers a decent wage or offer them a secure retirement or we don't have the the monies required to help the needy give their children milk and juice and fucking cheese.
The rumors you have heard are a lie. We are not "broke." If we have the means to bomb the shit out of Muammar Gaddafi, to the tune of $100-million a day, A DAY, not to mention wage two other wars simultaneously, we surely have the means to fix what's wrong here at home. What we don't have, of course, are the balls, the brains or the guts to do it.
