Not to make light of the real damage suffered along the California coast as a result of the Japanese tsunami (in places like here and here), but the picture above is among the photos in the online edition of today's San Luis Obispo Tribune. It purports to document the wave action at Avila Beach, CA, where the "tsunami effect" hit shore at about 8am on Friday.
