Truth be told, if somebody ever held a gun to my head and said, "What song was the one that pointed me on my way down the road musically, after high school, first year of college, when everything -- everything -- is brand fucking new, it's "Ranking Full Stop" by the English Beat. Boom. Done. There you have it.
Thank God it all played out the way it did.
