Huckabee on Obama's Kenyan Childhood

In case you hadn't heard, likely Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee went on some wingnut's radio show last night and spent a few minutes dog-whislting to the birthers and the teabaggers in the listening audience by claiming Barack Obama "grew up in Kenya" and it's that childhood that makes him "different" from "average Americans."

A spokesman later claimed Huckabee simply "misspoke" and meant to say Obama grew up in Indonesia (where the President did spend a few years in his youth). Aside from the fact that such a tepid, weasely retraction does nothing to wipe away the "not like other Americans" smear, the spokesman apparently missed the part of the interview where Huckabee based his entire argument on the fact that Obama was influenced by his father's view of the Mau Mau Revolution, which took place in Kenya in the 1950s, not in Indonesia ever.

I only raise this point to show how, in addition to not apologizing for baiting the birthers with red-meat falsities about Obama's upbringing, when Huckabee claims he "misspoke" about the President's childhood in Kenya he is lying through his teeth.

OF HIS CHILDHOOD IN KENYA WITH HIS MOTHER. AFTER WHICH SHE FLEW OVER TO HAWAII.SOMETHING
SMELLS ROTTEN IN THE WHITE HOUSE.
