Economic-Speak FYI

Not that you probably need a reminder, but when the talking heads speak about "reducing labor costs," they're talking about "lowering wages." The way to achieve that is by firing people without replacing them, thus increasing the labor pool and creating more demand for existing positions. If there are only X-minus-Y jobs, more people will work for less money to secure one of those positions, creating a win-win for management and stockholders, and a lose-lose for the working class. Again.
