More on the Madison Protests

The more I watch how the rhetoric is playing out in the Wisconsin labor standoff, the more convinced I am that we are approaching a defining moment in the history of middle-class America. The oligarchy has succeeded in pitting regular Americans against each other, and with so much on the line, and so much to lose, it's essential that we overcome the perception that tax increases are some kind of evil. The fact is, the governor of Wisconsin cut taxes, which created the deficit that now exists in a state that was in the black as recently as last year, and now he wants to demagogue the issue and force government employees pick up the tab.

He picked this fight; we need to see it through.
