I remember when I was a kid George Wallace got shot in a shopping center (much like the AZ congresswoman) that was right near my house. I thought it was weird, and a bit scary for a 10-year-old living in Washington DC ('specially after the MLK and RFK assassinations), but it did give me the opportunity to learn what a distasteful racist jerk George Wallace was.
Not sure what that has to do with the AZ shopping center shooting, beyond the locational similarity, but it came to mind.
I suppose if we're going to learn anything from yesterday's tragedy, it's that Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin bear no responsibility at all. Just ask them.
