Pennywise Obscenity

When I read these stories about how we need to cut federal spending by tossing 389,000 kids out of Head Start and laying off 4,000 FBI agents, I'm reminded that we're spending $6.7 billion a month in Afghanistan and another $5.5 billion in Iraq. The Pentagon's annual budget is $685.1 billion. That's more than half of the US government's entire budget.

[Believe it or not, the only place the military reduced its spending from 2009 to 2010 was a 20.2% cut in Military Family Housing. Yes, you read that right.]
