Back to the Well Once More: Palin's "WTF" Moment

It's like shooting ducks in a barrel (as she might say), whenever Sarah Palin goes on the teevee. Here she is on FOX -- natch -- claiming that President Obama got it all wrong when he talked about our "Sputnik moment" in his State of the Address on Tuesday. You see, Palin believes the Russian's won that "race to space" thingy, but that the rush to the heavens is also what ultimately led to the "inevitable collapse of the Soviet Union."

Forget that the whole point of the President's "Sputnik" comment was that it spurred America to put a man on the Moon -- the real prize in the space race -- and that the Soviet Union's official collapse came in 1991. That was a full 22 years after we planted our flag on the Moon, and it came as a result of an unsustainable military build-up, not the launch of a dog into space.

ADDING: It should also be noted that, in the clip above, when asked what she thought of the President's speech, Palin said Obama had a lot of "WTF moments."

Keepin' it classy, you Wasilla snowbilly.
