In West Virginia, Democrat Joe Manchin has handily defeated Republican John Raese in the race to replace Senator Robert Byrd. This race was interesting because Raese, who all but acknowledged at one point that he actually lives in Florida(?), had the endorsement of wingnut heavyweights Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh and Ted Nugent. Palin, for her part, endorsed Raese on Facebook but got his state wrong, indicating he'd be good for "Pennsylvania."
