"Concern Trolls" Jump the Shark

The most ridiculous item you will read today...
President Obama must decide now how he wants to govern in the two years leading up to the 2012 presidential election.
[...]
It is clear that the president is still trying to reach a resolution in his own mind as to what he should do and how he should do it.
[...]
To that end, we believe Obama should announce immediately that he will not be a candidate for reelection in 2012...[B]y explicitly saying he will be a one-term president, Obama can deliver on his central campaign promise of 2008, draining the poison from our culture of polarization and ending the resentment and division that have eroded our national identity and common purpose.
Keep in mind this tripe appeared in the Washington Post, one of the nation's alleged papers of record, publications that offer reasonable debate and help shape opinion. This whole piece is complete bullshit. What reason would Republicans ever have to coopoerate with Obama over the next two years should he instantly become a lame-duck president. It doesn't even warrant discussion, truth be told, but I thought you should know this is what some of the serious people in Washington think makes for a bold argument.

Making matters worse, it was written by two ostensible Democrats, one of whom worked for Jimmy Carter and the other for Bill Clinton. Nice going, turncoats.
