When I first saw the headline over the weekend saying “Man Shot by Oakland Police,” my first reaction was, “Holy cow, they just finished up the trial for the cop who shot Oscar Grant and now they’ve killed someone else?” That’s not going to play well in the Bay Area’s Latino neighborhoods. Ahem...WRONG assumption. Turns out the guy they shot this time around was a right-wing loon who was armed to the teeth, upset with the gub’mint, angry about “what’s happening to our country” and looking to do serious damage to as yet unnamed “list” of perceived offenders.
