O-U-T OUT!

What you see here is the third out of a four-out 9th inning. The rules say a perfect game is 27 outs, not 28.

It may not be the worst call ever, but it's close, and it's surely the greatest injustice.

This one's going down in history with Harvey Haddix.

ADDING: If you watch the replay at the link above, you can clearly see that even the runner is aghast that he was called safe. How many times have you seen the runner put his hands to his head -- as if to say "Oh, no!" -- after he crosses 1st base and sees the umpire call him safe?
