Los Suns Hacen Declaración Poderosa

NBA basketball's Phoenix Suns came out strongly against the state of Arizona's anti-immigrant law today. Team captain Steve Nash, himself a Canadian citizen, called the law "very misguided. I think it is unfortunately to the detriment of our society and our civil liberties and I think it is very important for us to stand up for things we believe in. I think the law obviously can target opportunities for racial profiling. Things we don't want to see and don't need to see in 2010."

The team will wear a specially-designed home jersey that reads "Los Suns" at tomorrow night's home game, which falls on the Cinco de Mayo holiday.

"It's going to be great to wear Los Suns," Phoenix forward Amare Stoudemire said, "to let the Latin community know we're behind them 100%."

  1. Shouldn't it be 'Los Soles'?

  2. I think properly it would be "Los Sols," but they're going with Los Suns.

  3. Steve Nash is a snowback. Any guesses who did the last minute stitching on the gear?
