You can find people arguing around the internets that many among the so-called "Tea Party" movement are disaffected Obama voters who feel like they've been misled by the President. I'd be willing to bet that the number of people who were so upset with the status quo that they voted for Barack Obama in Nov. 2008 and are now so upset with the current state of things that they consider themselves part of the "Tea Party" movement is close to zero. Obama's candidacy was about hope and change (feel free to mock that slogan if you wish) and the teabaggers are about hopelessness and anger. The people Barack Obama encouraged to vote for him are not the sort who are dissuaded by such outright negativity. That's how we got health care reform passed.
