Next time you're feeling a little down about the weather, just remember how bad things were for The Donner Party. PBS aired a distressingly comprehensive documentary about the 87 doomed "emigrants" on its American Experience series last night. You can watch it in full right here.
I watched this, and it was very educational. But man, it sure was depressing. It did make me feel better about the measly two inches of snow we got last night.
