Hate Passes

Amidst all our joy over the election of Barack Obama, I regret to inform that Hate lives in California, where it appears Proposition 8 is going to pass -- thus rescinding the state's existing gay marriage law -- by a margin of about 52% to 48%. Naturally, my backwater red-neck county is among those that passed the initiative, and I'm sure there will be plenty of folks at work who will take some solace in their resounding defeat at the presidential level with the knowledge that they've still kept down teh gays.
