Naomi Klein (no relation to Chuck Klein that I know of) was on The Colbert Report the other night talking about her book The Shock Doctrine. Right at the end of the interview, Colbert asked Klein [paraphrasing]: "With this whole financial meltdown going on, what's the best place to position my money for the future?" Klein responded that because of the bailout there won't be any money in the treasury for infrastructure repair and maintenance (to roads, highways, bridges etc...) and the government is going to end up having to privatize the job. Colbert joked that maybe he should "become a paver."
"No, no," said Klein, "That's going to be done by prison labor."
