Incredible as it may seem, just as things in Iraq apparently couldn't get any more chaotic, impossible or unbelievable, just as opposition climbs above 70% among the American people, just as US troop fatalities reach 3616, Joint Chiefs Chairman Peter Pace actually says the architects of this insane war may be planning yet another troop buildup.




Meanwhile, 144 more Iraqis were killed or found dead (and don't you just love that wording?) in various attacks today. One American soldier was also killed and at least 240 people were injured.
